John Bray
John Bray is a British researcher, currently based in Japan, with a particular interest in the history of Tibet and Christian missions. After studying History at Cambridge University, he spent two years teaching in India – first at a school for Tibetan refugees near Dehra Dun and then in Ladakh. He was Honorary Secretary of the International Association of Ladakh Studies (IALS - www.ladakhstudies.org) from 1997-2007, and is now the association’s President. His main long-term project is a comparative history of 19th and 20th century Christian missions in the Indian and Chinese border areas with Tibet.
